What is the difference between wool cottonseed and refined cottonseed?
Wool cottonseed has short lint, while refined cottonseed is the finished product of wool cottonseed removing short lint.
There are hairy cottonseeds in the cotton boll. The hairs on the cottonseeds grow from the surface of the cottonseed and fill the inside of the cotton boll. When the cotton boll is mature, it cracks and reveals soft fibers. The fiber is white or white with yellow, about 2-4 cm long, and contains about 87-90% cellulose. The countries with the highest cotton production include China, the United States, India and so on.
